Child Development Center, Lemoore, CA

 


This project consisted of the expansion of the existing Child Development Center at the Naval Air Station (NAS), Lemoore, California by 1,560 sq. meters (16,792 SF) in order to provide daily care for an additional 72 infants and pre-toddlers. ELEN Consulting updated existing Buildings 965 and 963 to include CCTV monitoring and security alarm systems. Supporting facility systems for the expansion included the fire protection system, heating/ventilation/and air conditioning (HVAC), and utility connections for water, sewer, electrical, communications systems (telephone, voice, data, surveillance cameras, cable television, NMCI, intrusion detection system , public address system). Site improvements included earthwork, grading, paving, sidewalks, and playground area with misters, curbs, roadway access, trash enclosure, and landscaping. The project included chain link fencing (five feet high) around the building with magnetic gate latches that can be opened by fire alarm system and hand buzzers in classrooms.
