Project Overview
The Carlsbad City Library serves as a dynamic, community-centered public library system in Carlsbad, California, providing essential resources, evolving technologies, and supportive gathering spaces across its three branches: the Georgina Cole Library, Dove Library, and Learning Center. The Dove Library alone spans 64,000 sq. ft. and features flexible reading areas, multipurpose rooms that accommodate both quiet study and community meetings, and unique amenities like the William D. Cannon Art Gallery and Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium—elements that helped it become “a library unlike any other in the county” and a model for 21st-century community-centered library design. ELEN Consulting provided mechanical and plumbing design services for a comprehensive HVAC replacement aimed at modernizing the facility’s building systems. Our upgrades deliver precise climate control, improved indoor air quality, reduced energy use, and quieter operation—elevating the patron and staff experience.
