Marine Corps Air Station Electrical Upgrade

Project Overview

Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina is one of the largest Marine Corps air stations, supporting aviation operations, training, and readiness for the U.S. military. To strengthen the reliability of its power systems, ELEN Consulting provided electrical engineering design services for a major infrastructure upgrade that replaced an aging substation and nearly 20,000 feet of underground power cabling. Our team designed a modern substation with advanced circuit breakers and integrated the system into the base’s double-ring power grid, ensuring resilient, efficient, and future-ready electrical distribution to support mission-critical operations.
