Civita Park

Project Overview

Civita Park is the 14.3-acre centerpiece of the Civita master-planned community in San Diego, transforming a former quarry site into a vibrant destination for residents and visitors. The multi-level park offers an impressive range of amenities, including an outdoor amphitheater, an interactive water feature with 48 jets, shaded picnic areas, game courts, a community garden, basketball half-courts, and a dedicated dog park with separate enclosures. Designed to serve as a hub for recreation, gathering, and wellness, Civita Park integrates trails, open space, and public art, earning recognition as one of the region’s premier urban parks. ELEN Consulting provided electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and lighting design services across both phases of development, ensuring that the park’s diverse amenities function seamlessly day and night. Our team’s work included designing energy-efficient lighting to create safe and inviting spaces after dark, developing utility systems to support the amphitheater and water features, and integrating infrastructure for community spaces that enhance comfort and usability.
