UCSD Spanos Athletic Center
The Alex G. Spanos Athletic Performance Center at UC San Diego is a 6,700 sq. ft. strength and conditioning facility that combines new construction with renovation of the existing training center. The venue supports strength training, rehabilitation, and an outdoor conditioning plaza—enhancing both student-athlete performance and campus recreation. ELEN Consulting designed the building’s power and backup systems to support continuous operations, integrated telecommunications for training and facility controls, and provided sustainability guidance that contributed to LEED Gold certification.
