Project Overview
Morongo Unified School District, serving students across 29 schools in California’s high desert communities, implemented a districtwide solar program to reduce energy costs and expand renewable generation. The project installed 3.7 MW of photovoltaic canopies across multiple campuses, using more than 12,000 solar modules mounted on parking structures at elementary, middle, junior high, and high schools. ELEN Consulting provided electrical engineering, photovoltaic, and lighting design, delivering systems that integrate solar generation with existing campus infrastructure and produce up to 80% of the district’s energy needs, enhancing both sustainability and long-term operational savings. We also completed similar projects for the Tustin Unified School District and the Palm Springs Unified School District.
